24-amino acid C-terminal peptide of mechano-growth factor (MGF24E) is the initial splice-variant of IGF-1 when tissue or cells in response to stretch overload or damage.It is appreciated as a pro-regenerative factor in some cell models and tissue-protective factor in acute injury model in vivo.Our previous study showed mechanical overload-upregulated MGF was found in osteoblasts and MGF24E promoted the proliferation and migration of osteoblasts.
