Membrane-based total heat exchanger is a device to recover both sensible heat and moisture from exhaust air stream from a building.Heat and mass transfer intensification was performed by using a structure of cross-corrugated triangular ducts. In this study, a test rig was built to measure the performance of the total heat exchanger. For comparison, two cores, one in cross-corrugated triangular ducts and another in parallel flat plates, were constructed and tested.
