Layered double hydroxides (LDHs) are a class of ionic lamellar materials made up of positively charged brucite-like layers with an interlayer region containing charge compensating.Recently, LDHs have been widely used as supports for heterogeneous palladium catalysts,1 however, almost all LDHs supported palladium catalysts are obtained by an exchange of PdCl42-or impregnation of the surface with PdCl2,2 in which the Pd can be leached from the catalysts and contaminate product.
