Introduction: Preservation of important microorganisms as seed stocks is necessary for industrial and scientific applications.Freeze drying is a favorite technique for long term storage of microorganisms for decades.This method combines the profit of freezing and drying to supply a dry, shelf-stable product.The aim of present investigation was to study the influence of protective agents at long duration for preservation of the Streptomyces sp.UTMC 1154 producer of two new bioactive cyclopeptides, persipeptide A and B.
