There exist some controversies in senior zoogeographic division in arid area of Central Asia,which has complex ecological environment,fauna origin and spatial distribution pattems of the animals.Our aim was to determine,by means of quantitative analyses,the distribution patterns of the amphibian and reptile in arid area of Central Asia using physiographical regions as Operative Geographical Units (OGUs).
