细胞自噬主要有3个功能：维持细胞的正常代谢；控制过氧化物酶体、线粒体和内质网的更新；具有抵御环境变化对细胞造成的损伤，同时又诱导细胞主动性的死亡的双重机制。因此，细胞对防止如神经退行性病变、肿瘤、心肌病、病原微生物侵入感染等疾病以及对防止老化、延长寿命有积极作用。

【摘 要】
：
