CIGS modules are currently produced on mass production level and have the potential to reach high conversion efficiencies around 15%.The production cost of CIS-based modules varies significantly among the prominent CIS companies, mainly due to the difference in the technical solutions to produce the core semiconductor CIGSe absorber material.
