Single-phase bismuth silicate(Bi4Si3O12,BSO)powders were synthesized by a hydrothermal method at 220℃ for at least 12 h using Bi2O3 and SiO2 powders as raw materials and 6%H2O2 as the solvent.X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscope(SEM)and photoluminescence(PL)spectroscopy were used to observe the structures,morphologies and optical properties of the as-synthesized BSO samples.The XRD patterns revealed that as-synthesized BSO powders have cubic bismuth blend structure.
