Of the 8.5 million dairy farmers that produce milk to make Pakistan the 4th largest dairy country in the world,it is estimated that 70％ of these dairy households operate under subsistence conditions with herds of three or four animals.However with more effective management of animals most have the potential to sell more milk to assist with the family budget:the remainder is consumed by the family and relatives.
