Antioxidant enzymes play important roles in scavenging reactive oxygen species generated in plants under salt stress. And it has been suggested that the isozymes could be used as a biochemical marker to study the tolerance of plant to stress. In this study, two shrub willows namely JW2345 and JW2367, which are different in the sensitivity to salt stress, were treated with 100 mM NaCl for 3, 6 and 12 days. And differences in the activity and isozyme profiles of antioxidant enzymes in the leaves and roots in response to NaC1 stress were investigated.
