This paper concerns a basic function of the brain.There is a longstanding consensus that interactions between neurons are essential and that repeated interactions between the same neurons are the basis for learning.However, some controversy still remains regarding the existence of multi-neuron realtime patterns as detection attempts using a very simple pattem type has left doubt regarding statistical significance.
