Introduction: Oxymatrine (OM) is a kind of alkaloid extracted from a Chinese herb that has been found to possess anti-hepatic fibrosis effect, but its anti-fibrotic potential may be limited due to a lack of a short half-life period and adverse effects.Polymersomes (PM) assembled from amphiphilic block copolymers represent promising vesicles for applications.The aim of this study was to develop a novel drug carrier based on PM and evaluate anti-fibrosis effects of OM-loaded on the expression of a-SMA and collagen-I by Western blotting in HSCs.
