We studied soft x-ray lasers in Nickel-like molybdenum at 18.9 nm using the grazing incidence pumping scheme.The optical laser drivers include a 100 mJ pre-pulse of 200ps, hundreds of picoseeonds before a 175 mJ main pulse of 200 fs.The lasing emission has been observed.The pre-plasma condition was studied to optimize the nickel-like molybdenum X-ray laser output.
