The oasis distribution change of the Heihe River Basin is typical in the whole arid area of China.Taking remotely sensed images such as KeyHole,Landsat MSS,KATE-200 and Landsat TM/ETM+as the data sources,object-oriented image segmentation and threshold of NDVI(Normalized Difference Vegetation Index)aiding with visual interpretation as the method of oasis extraction,the long period spatial-temporal changes of the oasis distribution from 1963 to 2013 was reconstructed.
