Thermodynamics and Transport Properties of Helium Plasmas Including Electronically Excited States

The role of electronically excited states in the thermodynamic and transport properties of helium plasmas has been examined in the temperature range from 1000 to 40 000 K at pressures of 0.1,1.0,10.0 atm in local thermodynamic equilibrium (LTE).Thermodynamic properties including enthalpy and specific heat at constant pressure are calculated.It is found that the frozen and reactive specific heats of helium plasmas are strongly affected by electronic excitation.
