The North China Craton (NCC) formed through the amalgamation of micro-blocks in the Neoarchean (Zhai and Santosh,2011),and their final assembly into a stable craton during the late Paleoproterozoic (Santosh,2010,2013;Zhao and Zhai,2013).The Damiao igneous complex near Chengde is a composite suite of noritic gabbroanorthosite-mangerite that was emplaced during the post-collisional stage following the amalgamation of the Eastern and Western Blocks within the NCC (Zhang et al.,2007).
