本文采用随机前沿生产函数估计中国食品制造业技术效率,并分析各因素对技术效率的影响程度。实证结果显示:虽然中国食品制造业技术效率在稳步提高,但是其生产仍然存在显著的技术效率损失,且技术进步并不显著。东、中和西部三地区食品制造业技术效率差异不大,且呈收敛趋势。城镇居民恩格尔系数和食品制造业税率对食品制造业生产技术效率损失有正影响,而农村居民恩格尔系数、第一产业产值则正好相反。这些结论具有重要政策含义,对指导中国食品制造业发展具有一定的参考价值。
This paper uses the stochastic frontier production function to estimate the technical efficiency of China’s food manufacturing industry, and analyzes the influence of various factors on the technical efficiency. The empirical results show that although the technical efficiency of China’s food manufacturing industry is steadily increasing, its production still has significant technical efficiency losses, and technological progress is not significant. The technical efficiency of the food manufacturing industry in the three regions of the East, Central and West China has little difference, and it shows a convergence trend. The Engel coefficient of urban residents and the food manufacturing tax rate have a positive impact on the loss of production technology efficiency in food manufacturing. The rural residents’ Engel coefficient and the output value of the primary industry are the opposite. These conclusions have important policy implications and have certain reference value for guiding the development of China’s food manufacturing industry.
