Central composite circumscribed (CCC) design was applied to evaluate the combined effects of two important environmental factors, temperature (18-34℃) and salinity (22-36), on the larval growth and survival of C.nobilis.At the same time, response surface method was used to optimize the model equations of growth and survival to attain the optimal combination of temperature, salinity.Results showed that the linear and quadratic effects of temperature and salinity on the specific growth of shell length were all highly significant (P<0.01), and the interaction between temperature and salinity on the specific growth of shell length was significant (P<0.05).
