Diatoms possess an excellent capacity to cope with drastic light fluctuations regularly punctuated by excess light. However, the molecular mechanisms underlying responses to high light exposure in diatom are largely unknown.Using a quantitative proteomic approach based on iTRAQ labeling of peptides in combination with biochemical analyses,we studied responses of diatoms to exposure to HL.
