This paper analyses the nodes for discharging heavy metal wastewater based on principle process. Then the water samples from the discharging nodes were tested by ICP-OES,and Single Factor Pollution Index and Nemerow Integrated Index method were used to evaluate the status of Hg,Cd,As,Pb,Cr,Zn,Cu and Sn in heavy metal wasterwater. Finally, the heavy metal contents were analyzed for contrast. The results indicated that the major wastewater discharge nodes were concentration ponds and tailings dam.The water leted by nodes above was seriously poullted and the contents of priority control heavy metals Hg,Cd,As,Pb,Zn in the water all exceed surface water Class IV water standard.Besides, the Single Factor Pollution Index showed that the pollution degrees of water decreased in following order Pb>Zn>As>Cd>Hg>Cu,beyond that Cd,Cr,Sn was undetected. The mean index values of Pb,Zn and the individual index values of As were higher than the threshold value(i.e.3.0)of heavy pollution and reached to heavy pollution degree. While the mean index values of Cd,Hg and Cu were up to medium pollution, light pollution and non-pollution,respectively.Nemerow Integrated Index suggested that the mean values of concentration ponds and tailings dam were 12.0 and 27.8,which were significantly higher than standard.
