Objective:To synthesize 3-(1-naphthyloxy)-1-phenyl propyl alcohol,a intermediate for the synthesis of dapoxetine(with the potential for clinical treatment of premature ejaculation drugs),with inexpensive and readily available raw materials,by easy route.Methods:1-(2-bromo-ethoxy) naphthalene was synthesized with A-naphthol and dibromoethane as the starting material.
