Carbon dots, the new member of the "carbon materials", have attracted much attention for its alluring optical properties showing intense blue and green emission 1).Herein, the carbon dots were synthesized by the hydrothermal method.The europium(Ⅲ) β-diketonates complexes with the characteristic emission were selected as the lanthanite resources.
