Aim: To evaluate the intraocular pressure (IOP) lowering effect of losartan potassium in rats with steroid-induced ocular hypertension and compare the IOP lowering effects with that of latanoprost.Methods: Ocular hypertension was induced in Sprague Dawley rats weighing 100 to 120 g by topical application of 5 μL dexamethasone 0.1％ twice daily for 36 d.Rats with IOP increment of 25％ or more from baseline were used for further study and were divided into 2 groups (n=7).
