Objective: To determine serum distinctive microRNAs (miRNAs) in cerebral ischemic stroke (CIS) and transient ischemic attack (TIA) patients, and to evaluate their clinical significance and predictive values.Methods: A total of 277 CIS, 86 TIA patients and 140 healthy controls were enrolled.TaqMan Low Density Arrays were applied to preliminary screening of miRNAs expression profiles in pooled serum samples from 50 ischemic stroke patients and 48 healthy controls, respectively.
