  Delay-coupled neural networks have attracted considerable attention due to their extensive and important applications in many fields,such as biology,psychology,physics,etc.This paper studies the behaviors of two FitzHugh-Nagumo neuronal networks with bidirectional delayed couplings.By decomposing and discussing the associated characteristic equation of the system,the stability and instability of the network equilibrium and the existence of the bifurcated periodic oscillations are analyzed.Numerical simulations are given to validate the analytical results and interesting neural activities are observed,such as the switches among the quiescent state,anti-phase outer synchronization,and completely synchronous oscillations.
