  The synergistic effect of 2-ethylhexylphosphonie acid mono-(2-ethylhexyl)ester(HEHEHP, P507, HL) and Cyanex923(B) in extraction of Ce(Ⅳ), Th(Ⅳ) and La(Ⅲ)from sulfuric acid solutions has been investigated.Under the experimental conditions used,the largest synergistic coefficient of Ce(Ⅳ) is obtained at the mole fraction XP507=0.25,the Synergistic enhancement coefficient(Rmax) obtained for Ce(Ⅳ) is 7.43.Interestingly at conditions investigated, the synergistic coefficient of Th(Ⅳ) is less than one, which means that Th(Ⅳ) has antisynergistic effect, and that La(Ⅲ) there is no detectable extraction.
