Purpose:According to some surveys,constipation affects more than half of nursing home residents.Because there have been few advances in laxative treatment in the last 50 years by Western Medicine,this study was designed to determine the efficacy and safety of a new regimen of Chinese herb formula (CCH1) for constipated residents in long-term care units.
