Clonostachys rosea strains were evaluated for its ability to promote growth of Pinus radiata seeds on a natural substrate.Twenty-one C.rosea strains, with a previously determined biocontrol activity higher than 80% against Fusarium circinatum were selected for this study.A conidial suspension (1x107 conidia x mL-1 in water) of each C.rosea strain was applied at seeds 24 h before seeding, and a second C.rosea application to the substrate was done at seeding time.A third inoculation of each treatment was applied after germination.A commercial product based on Trichoderma harzianum was employed as comparator treatment and sterilized distilled water was used as a control treatment.Eighty-four seeds for each treatment, with three blocs and twenty-three treatments were established.Stem height, root length, and dry weight of stem and root were measured at 102 days after seeding.
