Due to high-temperature oxidation,chlorination and sulfuration,the exhaust pipe of heavy-loaded vehicle engine is liable to severe corrosion thus affecting its normal operation.The electro-thermal explosion spraying and coating techniques can be used to prevent and protect the exhaust pipe corrosion of heavy-loaded vehicle engine by spraying three kinds of FeAl,FeCrAl and FeCrAlRE coating on the surface of the exhaust pipe.The corrosion kinetic analysis of the exhaust pipe was carried out with these three kinds of coatings under high temperature (800 ℃) conditions.The result shows the corrosion resistance performance of FeCrAlRE coating is notably better than that of FeAl and FeCrAl coatings,which improves high temperature oxidization corrosion resistance and sulfuration corrosion resistance,respectively 3.83 times and 1.78 times better than that of FeAl coating.
