Platinum-group elements(PGE)are mainly concentrated as specific minerals known as(PGM),which commonly occur in podiform chromitites of ophiolites.The study of PGM assemblages in chromitites can provide valuable petrogenetic information regarding the physico-chemical nature of the parental melt(s)from which the chromite crystallized.(Ahmed and Arai,2003; Augé et al.,1988; Garuti et al.,1999; Gervilla et al.,2005; Melcher et al.,1997; Uysal et al.,2009).
