  The costs of CO2 capture from coal-fired power plant flue gas using three types of gas separation technology was summarized,which includes chemical absorption,gas separation membrane and pressure swing adsorption.For chemical absorption,the main cost range is $30 to 60/tonne.CO2 avoided,and the least value is $10 /tonne.CO2 avoided [1].For gas separation membrane and pressure swing adsorption,the range is $50 to 78 and $40.to 63/tonne.CO2 avoided [2-5],respectively.The way to reduce the costs of CO2 capture using three type of gas separation technology was proposed,respectively.When CO2 recovery rate and CO2 purity in product were took into account,chemical absorption is considered the most cost-effective technology for flue gas CO2 capture incoal-fired power plant at the moment,and gas separation membrane is the most promising alternate for chemical absorption in future with the development in membrane performance parameters(Figure 1).
