An ultra-high-pressure liquid chromatographic (UHPLC) method was developed for identification of hydrophilic components of hairy root of S.miltiorrhiza.The sample was separated with an Agilent Poroshell 120 SB-C18 column (150mm×3.0mm, 2.7um), gradient eluted with acetonitrile and 0.5% formic acid as mobile phase.The flow rate was 0.5 ml/min and the detector wavelength was set at 286nm.Totally 21 components were successfully demonstrated in a single run with 9 min.
