Background Recent studies suggests activation of RhoA/ROCK signaling and renal angiotensin system(RAS) may play an important role in the development of diabetic nephrophathy(DN).The macrophages infiltration is found in diabetic kidneys and macrophage-mediated inflammation may be critical in the early stage of DN.However,whether the interaction of RhoA/ROCK and RAS affects the infiltration of macrophages has not been determined.Therefore,a comprehensive understanding of the macrophage infiltration in the presence and absence of RhoA/ROCK signaling and RAS can contribute to provide more and safer therapies.
