Fundamental investigation on preparative schemes for inorganic-organic hybrid nanostructures is a new area of nanomaterials research.Over the past decade, nanochemistry has shed light on design and synthesis of functional materials.For instance, materials chemistry of surfactant-or polymer-capped single-crystalline nanoparticles has been studied extensively, because of its importance in materials research and development of nanotechnology.A challenging area in this research field is how to build greater and more complex structures, starting from small pristine nanocrystallites, where nanocrystallites can be considered as basic building blocks.
