The catalytic effects of CoFe2O4 nanopowder addition in varying proportions on the dehydrogenation properties of LiAlH4 are investigated by pressure-composition-temperature (PCT) experiments and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC).We observe that the LiAlH4 + 2 mol% CoFe2O4 sample start to decompose at 70 and 131 ℃ for the first two dehydrogenation stages and release 7.31 wt.% hydrogen,which is 85 and 69 ℃ lower than those of as-received LiAlH4,respectively.
