@@ Aircraft deicing and anti-icing fluids (ADAF) containing benzotriazole are the emerging pollutants in coastal waters which used at airports to facilitate safe air travel during cold weather periods (Corsi, Geis et al. 2006). In view of the persisting benzotriazole residues influence on marine aquaculture, Nitzschia closterium f. minutissima as an opportunistic species was studied to evaluate the physiological response, antioxidant enzyme activity and PUFA content under 24h and 72h benzotriazole exposure with 5 different concentrations (0, 0.01, 0.1, 1, 10 mg / L-1 respectively). Growths of all groups has a rising inhibit effect gradually under increasing concentration. Fv /Fm (PS Ⅱ photochemistry valid quantum yield) declined with rising concentrations and dropped to the lowest point at 10 mg / L-1 of benzotriazole after 24h and 72h in comparison with blank control. But photosynthetic pigment content displayed no significant changes in comparison with blank control.
