　　The local eigenvalue statistics of random band matrices,which interpolate between random Schrodinger operators(Poisson statistics)and random matrices(GOE/GUE statistics),are conjectured to admit an Anderson transition from Poisson statistics to GOE/GUE statistics.We give a brief introduction to such a conjecture.
