Acromegaly is a chronic and multisystemic disease having a high rate of morbidity and mortality due to cardiovascular, respiratory and metabolic causes.Although it is described an increase in benign and malignant neoplasias, its real incidence is controversial.However, there are several reports that do not support an increased risk of cancer in these patients.Visceromegalv integrates one of the findings in this entity, and within it, the increased size of gland thyroid is included.Benign thyroid disorders occur frequently in acromegaly.
