ZnSe quantum dots (QDs) having greater band gaps ranging from 2.8–3.4 eV (bulk ZnSe having a band gap of 2.7 eV) was especially interesting emitting materials over a region from UV to blue,which demonstrated a potential application of light-emitting diodes,1 photovoltaic solar cells,2 Zn-based doped quantum dots with strong dopant emission and high PL conversion efficiency (>40%) had the advantages of lower toxicity,larger stocks shift which enhanced thermal and environmental stability.
