The signal recognition particle-72 (SRP-72) and general control nonderepressible-2 (GCN-2) of yeast were previously identified in our laboratory as interacting proteins when the yeast cDNA library was screened with a putative yellow rust NB-ARC-LRR type R-gene (Yr1O) fragment products containing Coiled-Coiled region having a putative Leucine Zipper and the ARC domain,respectively.
