Intestinal barrier damages after scald and bum injuries, other trauma, or major surgeries result in severe intestinal infections that cause serious consequences.
Background & Aims: Cullin 4B-RING ubiquitin E3 ligase (CRL4B) is involved in regulating diverse physiological and pathophysiological processes.
Our laboratory has focused on dissecting the role of (macro)autophagy in Gram-negative bacterial infection.
Background and Objective: Osteopontin (OPN) expression is increased during the course of various chronic inflammatory diseases, including tuberculosis (TB).
Dengue virus (DENV), a member of the flavivirus genus of the Flaviviridae family, causes the most prevalent arthropod-borne viral disease of humans worldwide.
Background: Encephalomyocarditis virus (EMCV) is the causative agent of myocarditis, diabetes and reproductive and nervous system disorders in many mammalian species.
Aim: Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection is characterized by a strong propensity toward chronicity.During chronic HCV infection, HCV core protein is implicated in dysregulating innate immune responses.
Background: Enterovirus 71 (EV71) is a major pathogen for severe hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD), which has high morbidity and mortality.
