Object The reported incidences of septic arthritis after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction varied between 0.14 ％and 1.7 ％.Intra-articular infection can lead to graft failure,joint stiffness and chondral damage.The risk factors are not well known.Controversy exists regarding what is the most appropriate management and what are the functional outcomes.We presented 2 cases with successful autograft preservation after early diagnosis and treatment of the infection.
