审美文化史研究的对象和范围是定位在凝固了的一去不复返的历史长河的,但其意义和价值却是指向活生生的不断趋向未来的当代现实生活的。笔者认为,审美文化史研究的意义和价值可以概括为由小到大、由近及远的三个方面。第一,审美文化史研究可以在更为广阔的视野中认识中国古代美学、审美文化发展的特点和规律,为中国当代美学和审美文化研究的发展建构,提供坚实的历史支撑和自觉的理论导引。随着中国社会的全方位转型,中国当代美学已经到了转型与建构的重要关头。美学向何处去,已经成为关注的焦点,一时高论迭出,诸说蜂起。笔者在综论20世纪90年代
The object and scope of the study of aesthetic culture and history are located in a frozen historical period, but its significance and value point to the living and constantly changing contemporary real life of the future. The author believes that the significance and value of the study of the history of aesthetic culture can be summed up as three aspects from small to large and from near and far.
