Aim: Endoplasmic reticulum stress (ER stress) is known to play a vital role in mediating ischemic reperfusion damage in brain. In this study an attempt was made to investigate the modulatory effect on ischemia/reperfusion-induced ER stress of pinocembrin. Methods: Focal cerebral ischemia/reperfusion was induced by middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) for 2 h followed by 6 h reperfusion.
