Myofiber,the basic unit of muscle,influences meat composition and quality directly.The developing embryo and the hatched chick are completely dependent for their growth and development on nutrients deposited in the egg.Maternal nutrition may alter the nutrient supply to the fetus and thereby affect the fetal production of essential growth regulating factors in the blood and tissues,which may in turn modify development and production performance in hatched chickens.
