The Annals of the Joseon Dynasty are the series of books which recorded the history of Joseon Dynasty of 400 years.They are not only Korean national treasures,but also UNESCO World Cultural Heritages.Some of books were treated by beeswax to protect them against humidity or insects.While they are suffering from physical,chemical,or biological damages for a long time,waxed paper has been much more damaged than general paper.Therefore,dewaxing of waxed paper is urgently needed for better preservation,assuring that the dewaxing process doesnt change the other components of paper or ink becuase the cultural properties should be avoided any additional damages.
