Molybdenite is the source material for the processing of molybdenum.There are several schemes for molybdenite processing , including hydrometallurgieal methods based on leaching by nitric acid1 or pyrometallurgical methods based on direct roasting and roasting with soda or lime, followed by hydrometallurgical dissolution2,3.However, the leaching rate of molybdenite in mineral acids is slow and has almost no effect on it.
