The ability to separate the photoexited charges is critical for promoting the activity of photo-catalysts, particularly in organic pollutants reactions. Research concerning potential uses still remains in its primary stage, which might be due to a great challenge in the construction of semiconductor with well-designed structures. Nonlinear optical crystals are known as non-concentric materials, however, their efficient charge separation and enhanced light absorption as a photocatalyst have rarely been reported.
