Today, we all believe that MEMS has potentially enormous market.However, the way to achieve a success business story about MEMS seems to be not an easy task.We believe that is because the MEMS market is a "fragment" market.Various process methods are used to make different MEMS for different applications.In such situation, unlike the digital CMOS area, it is very difficult to have a more-or-less "standard process flow" to handle all different requests.IMEC established a MEMS platform which can provide "from concept to product" service to the industry, which takes advantages of R&D flexibility and fab manufacturability.Such platform provides a perfect solution for a new idea to become reality: from concept to product, and from small-volume production to large volume production, with reasonable initial investment.
