玉米起源于热带和亚热带地区,对温度要求较高,尤其是芽期、苗期和灌浆期对低温非常敏感,这限制了其种植的地理位置.人工驯化和选择使玉米种植延伸到高纬度的寒区地带.近年来,低温灾害呈现频发态势,已成为我国春玉米区最主要的气象灾害之一.培育耐低温品种是提升玉米耐冷能力的有效途径,而挖掘耐冷基因资源是培育耐低温品种的前提和基础.玉米种质资源中存在广泛的遗传变异,蕴藏诸多抗低温材料,这些材料中涉及哪些抗冷性基因,哪些基因型中具有最优异的等位基因,其遗传效应如何表现.
